ICBC Driver's Medical Exams
Have you or someone you know been asked to take a driver's medical examination? Here's what to do and what to expect.
After receiving your Driver Medical Examination form, you'll have 45 days to complete and submit it. It's important to submit it on time. If you miss that deadline your licence may be cancelled.
To complete your Driver Medical Examination form, you'll need to book appointment with one of our doctors.
Enhanced Road Assessments
As part of the process of determining a person's medical fitness to drive, RoadSafetyBC require a driver to complete a road test re-examination (For Class 1-4 or Class 6 drivers).
During the exam, the following will be assessed:
- Cognition (for example, memory, attention and judgment)
- Eyesight
- Overall physical health
Please bring the following to your appointment:
- BC Care Card
- Yellow form issue by ICBC
- Eye glasses, if worn
Fee for the yellow form - $230.00
